The film follows the disappearance of two teenage boys, Matthew Nichols and Jordan Reimer, who went missing in the forests outside Port Rupert, Vancouver Island, Canada in 2001. The case remained unsolved for years. The story begins when Tara Nichols, Matthew's Sister, decides to reopen the search for her brother. She reviews the original evidence, interviews members of the community, and retraces the steps the boys took on the night they disappeared.
